Wirral Camping and Caravan Sites

Wirral has beautiful beaches, woodland walks, pretty towns and villages and lovely places to pitch a tent or park your camper! Here’s my guide to Wirral camping and caravan sites.

We bought a campervan a few years ago, and it might just be the best decision we have ever made! However, living in Wirral, we don’t have to venture far to enjoy a last-minute camping weekend. Wirral is full of great local walks and bike trails; there is so much to see and do—you’ll be surprised. Now, find a place to camp or park your caravan. Here’s my guide to Wirral camping and caravan sites.

Why visit and camp in Wirral?

Wirral offers beaches, woodland, a variety of walking routes, and vibrant cafes and restaurants. It’s a lovely place to pitch a tent or park your camper and explore the area.

Wirral is an excellent place for those who love to spot wildlife. West Kirby, Parkgate and Neston are popular birdwatching spots. The walkout to Hilbre Island is a great way to spend a day and enjoy the Dee Estuary and North Wales views. If you’re lucky, you might spot seals relaxing on the sandbanks.

New Brighton is great for a fun family day outside beside the seaside. Attractions and facilities are aplenty; the Riverside Bowling Alley and Laser Quest Centre are especially popular, and the New Palace Amusement Arcade has a small, well-loved fairground. These are the little things you remember from childhood!

If you want to venture further afield, Wirral is ideally close to Liverpool, Chester, and North Wales.
