5 Reasons I love Bank Cafe and Bar, Hoylake

We’ve been spending more time at Bank Cafe and Bar in Hoylake, and here are five reasons I love this little spot!

Bank Cafe and Bar in Hoylake has quickly become one of our favourite spots for lunch, small plates, coffees and cocktails. Here are five reasons why it should be on your list to visit.

1. There’s a real sense of community at Bank Cafe and Bar

Date night at Bank Cafe and Bar in Hoylake.

I love that during the day, you’ll see different groups here. I have seen people working in crochet groups, writing groups, etc. In the evening, they host events and gatherings that bring people together. It’s a wonderful place to meet new faces, enjoy live music, work for a bit, or just enjoy a drink or two.

Even if you’re not local, Bank Cafe and Bar has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to relax with friends or enjoy a quiet coffee alone. The decor is modern yet cosy, and the soft lighting creates a lovely setting for any occasion.

2. They have launched a quiz night and feature live music nights

Bank feature a quiz night on a Thursday, which is already very popular! It’s so popular you’ll probably have to book your table in advance, but it’s a great night out.

I love popping in when they have live music on. They support local bands, which is great to see, and they often have happy hour deals in the evening. Just check what’s on before visiting. They regularly update their Facebook page, so you can view their upcoming schedule there.

3. They make great cocktails

Delicous Cocktails at Bank Cafe and Bar in Hoylake.

Bank has been my go-to for hot chocolate and a little work after the school run for a while now, and their hot drinks have always been really good.

I’ve been in during the evening a few times, and I’m slowly making my way through their cocktail list! Their margarita is my favourite so far. Hoylake has its fair share of pubs and bars, but if you want a really great cocktail, Bank is ideal.

There are loads of choices on the drinks menu and non-alcoholic options, but my partner has also told me I must include that they serve Wrexham Lager! Apparently, it’s fantastic, but it’s not on the menu in many places in Wirral.

4. You can pop in for cake and coffee or small plates and wine

They have upped their menu game; they serve light bites, sandwiches, soups, homemade cakes and sweet treats. I have even seen scouse being served up recently – a proper local favourite.

I recently really enjoyed their brie and bacon panini, which is melted brie and grilled bacon smothered in cranberry sauce and served with a few tater-tots.

They also have a small plate menu, perfect alongside drinks and live music.

5. You can hire Bank Cafe and Bar as a venue

If you have an event coming up, you can hire Bank Cafe and Bar as a venue. I recently saw it set up for a party, and the space looked fantastic! It’s such a versatile and relaxed space, perfect for a get-together. For food and drink packages, you can enquire in person or send a message via Facebook with your name and contact details.
