About Me
Freelance writing gave me the freedom to build a career I love, while travelling, learning, and raising my son.
Hello, I’m Shayle.
I’m an English and Creative Writing graduate, poetry-obsessed, total beach girl, on a mission to create unique, human content that helps you get seen and heard.
Over the years, I’ve dabbled in teaching, one-to-one tutoring, graphic design, and copy and print management. None of those roles felt quite right. I was putting so much of my time into work that didn’t truly fit, until I found my place in content strategy and freelance copywriting.
Now, writing gives me the freedom to travel, keep learning, raise my adventurous little boy, and build a career around something I love.
Through my own blog and client work, I’ve seen firsthand how the right words can build trust, grow an audience, and keep people coming back. I’m particularly drawn to lifestyle and travel content, where storytelling and strategy come together naturally.
More than anything, I care about the writing I put out into the world and how it can genuinely help you. If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to hear what you’re working on. Get in touch.

Wirral is my home
It’s a place I feel deeply passionate about sharing and weaving into my writing. I’ve been lucky enough to grow up here, and it’s shaped so much of who I am. Now, I’m even more grateful to be raising my son in Wirral.
For those who don’t know it, the Wirral is a peninsula just across the water from Liverpool. I’ve lived here my whole life, even returning after my university years in the city.
My childhood was filled with long days on the beach, swimming in the sea, wandering through woodland, and trips into Liverpool, all set against glowing sunsets, friendly faces, and a quiet sense of calm.
This place sparked my lifelong love of the sea. I’m not a complete homebird, though; my other great love is travelling and discovering new places.
I share more about the Wirral over on my blog, where I write about local spots, reviews, and what it’s really like to explore this special corner of the world from a local’s perspective.
I also run On The Wirral, a weekly newsletter that rounds up local news and events.
Wirral is my home
Wirral is a place I feel so passionate about sharing with others and weaving into my writing. I’m incredibly lucky to have grown up here; it shaped who I am. Now I’m even more grateful to be raising my son here and to call this beautiful place home.

I’ll be blogging regularly about Wirral on my personal blog, sharing stories, tips, and little insights about visiting this special corner of the world from a local’s perspective.

I’m a Mum
When I was 25, I had Elijah, which was the worst day of my life.
Ah, don’t look so shocked! I endured 48 hours of labour, discovered I had preeclampsia, and eventually had an emergency caesarean section. In addition, my spinal tap went too high. I couldn’t feel myself breathing. I felt like I was dying. Afterwards, I suffered crippling PTSD.
But I’m still here.
I found the most incredible therapist, and my son is pure light, joy, and the kindest little human. As hard as it was, that experience showed me just how strong I am. It made me deeply grateful for every single moment I get to live this life alongside him.
It’s also why travelling means so much to me. On my blog, you’ll see where we go and how those places shape us.
We make the most of our time together, dipping our toes in the sea, dancing our way around the world, and spending as many days outdoors as we can.
