If you prefer a quieter and more peaceful experience, visiting during the Spring or Autumn months is a better option. The weather during these seasons is typically cooler, but the crowds are smaller, and you’ll have more space on the beach. Even during Winter, we love nothing more than wrapping up and walking around the Marine Lake with a hot chocolate. The Winter sunsets here are extraordinary.

My son loves visiting Hilbre Island; he’s six years old. It’s a long day and something we always like to plan. It’s important to remember there are no shops or fresh water on the islands, and there is little shelter. So plan and pack your bags accordingly, wear suitable footwear, check the weather, and dress appropriately.

The chairs are available for booking from 9 am to 4:30 pm and can be reserved online, by telephone, or in person. We highly recommend pre-booking to secure your reservation.

Please note that all users must be capable of self-transferring into the chair, as hoist facilities are not currently available.

There are several cafes and restaurants near the beach that offer a variety of food and drinks. You’re spoiled for choice! Fish and chips is a seaside town must. So, check out the popular Marigolds.

We love Grand Ave for a roast dinner, but they also serve breakfast, brunch, dinner, coffee, beer, cocktails and even shakes! It’s a welcoming spot minutes from the beach.

One of our favourite cafes is Hannah’s. They have such a great menu with delicious lunch and brunch options. The cakes here are homemade and are fantastic.

There are several shops and a Morrisons supermarket located near the beach.


Are there toilets near West Kirby Beach?

Public toilets, which are clean and well-maintained, are available at the beach. There is also a water tap.


Are dogs allowed on West Kirby Beach?
