When my best friend asked me if I wanted to participate in an immersive jury experience for a murder trial, I said yes! Here’s what I thought of Murder Trial Tonight II.
I had the chance to attend Murder Trial Tonight II by Tigerslane Studios with my friends, where I was able to participate in a thrilling murder trial and step into the shoes of a juror. Here’s what I thought of the theatre experience.
According to justice experts, over 30% of murder trials result in wrongful verdicts, leading to the wrongful conviction of innocent individuals due to jury decisions.
What is Murder Trial Tonight II by Tigerslane Studios?
It is a theatre production with quite a twist!
Murder Trial Tonight presents a true-crime murder case on stage. This production is a first-of-its-kind, written and produced by Tigerslane Studios and directed by Graham Watts.
Murder Trial Tonight II starts with a background story depicted on the screen, setting the scene for the crime story. Then, the stage comes to life with a live murder trial set in a courtroom, providing the audience with a fast-paced court experience.
In this immersive theatre production, the audience takes on the role of jurors. Both the prosecution and defence present their cases and cross-examine all the witnesses. At the end of the show, the audience can deliberate and deliver their verdict, deciding whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty.
We attended the Liverpool show at the Auditorium, M&S Bank Arena
Of course, we made an entire day of the experience and had tea together before heading to the show. We were all excited, and I, although I’d been to the M&S Bank Arena, hadn’t attended anything at the Auditorium prior. It’s an intimate setting and is perfect for this type of show.
I was impressed with the set-up, the friendly staff, and the size of the space. Just keep in mind that you get a pretty good view anywhere you purchase a seat at this location.
The premise of Murder Trial Tonight II, Heather Banks’s murder trial
This new case takes audiences on a journey into the murky world of a newlywed couple whose anniversary dinner takes a tragic turn. Heather Banks, the main character, reports a road rage incident involving the driver of a van and provides a detailed e-fit of the attacker.
Tigerslane Studios’ expert storytelling and immersive staging create an unforgettable experience that blurs the line between reality and fiction. As a jury member, you’ll have full access to all the evidence and testimonies presented in court, giving you the power to determine the defendant’s fate.
Did we decide guilty or not guilty?
Ah, of course, this is a non-spoiler review!
However, the overall vote on the day was so close! A narrow 9% decided the fate. Plus, we got our verdict wrong! So you must be engaged and leave all your prejudice at the door.
Don’t be put off if you are worried about getting up and speaking. The audience is not required to speak. You submit your verdict via an online link provided upon arrival.

Is Murder Trial Tonight II gory?
We didn’t find the show overly gory; there are images including blood, and of course, as it represents a murder trial, there are themes of violence, and there is swearing. There is an age limit of 14 years old for the show.
